California Children Services (CCS)

This page outlines a simplified version of the steps taken from identifying eligibility to implementation of services for California Children Services (CCS) .

I think my child may be eligible for CCS services. What do I do?

Step 1
Contact a CCS worker.

Step 2
An application for services will be filed within five days.

Step 3
Once the application is received, CCS will review the child's medical records to establish eligiblity within five days.

Step 4
As soon as eligibility is established, the case is opened and the child and family are assigned to a case manager.

Step 5
CCS services are requested.

Step 6
Services are approved.

Step 7
Implementation of services begins.
